Behind The Scene of Online Class

 

After I did the conduction of online class I understand something because I did the multiple times but I feel that something is missing and there's no joy or a learning ambiance that the student needs during those time and I feel that I wasted their time and effort and that same goes to be. But after I did this task I think I change something in the way I teach and somehow I think that the future children that I will be teaching will never waste their time listening to me. Furthermore, in making the lesson plan and the activity I was wondering if this lesson plan can be better and I think that I quite did it but after re: read it I saw some mistakes and I was disappointed that I can make it better and it will fit the idea that I am planning. Alongside it is the activity that I think the students will be engaged because I give them the freedom they need to express themselves and will test their critical thinking also their skills in doing the activity but I think I can make the activity more interesting if it is in-person to assess their skills also to correct the mistakes will make and give them feedback to be their guide to developing.

Along with getting these realizations and understanding also have a process or steps that I did to come up with these self-reflections so that I can make everything that I plan to be concrete and there will be learning on both sides of students and the facilitator. And the first thing that I did was review the lesson plan that I made and analyze the part of an activity to think about the activity that will be fitted to the lesson plan and the topic that I will be discussing with the class. Next is planning the activity and making the rubric for the grading of their outputs also I am thinking if they will make it actual or video so since we are in the online class let's use our weakness as a strength since everyone have their time in any sort of social media platform and there are a lot of ideas around their they can use it or copy with a little twist to avoid and problems. After all of the paperwork is the preparation for the demo teaching and before I begin I did double-check the tools and materials that I will be using for the demo teaching like the laptop, lightning, document, camera, and most important the mic after checking those I rehearse the things that I will be discussing to fit in the allotted time also I study the topic to be the knowledgeable one.

To sum up, the learnings and the experience that I've gained in the virtual demo teaching were quite a challenge because now there will be materials and equipment needed to consider for a better learning environment we are trying to build. And if we are doing some paperwork and details in activities we will be doing we need to recheck it to avoid any errors and confusion on the side of the person will read it also in our side. But for the overall experience, it was fun and there is a lot of learning that I can use in the future.

Change your Words-Change your Mindset

As a future modern educator changing the way I speak to myself and the words that come out of my mouth is essential in my lifestyle and for this reason, it will affect how my life will work out for that day. Because these words can be powerful and hurtful on me especially to others and within these words, I speak every day will affect my mindset in different aspects of life. And aside from these motivating ourselves in different difficult tasks is hard but we need to motivate ourselves to move and proceed to that task even though it's hard and never envy someone who can do these things because before they are good at it, they are also struggling on that difficult task. And as an educator, we need to be optimistic about ourselves and the environment of our class because handling those children can be anxious but sooner being with them will be a lot of fun and learning. We know the words "giving up" and "comfort zone" are there for a reason, and that reason is to affect our mindset in an everyday aspect of our life, and we need to control these words to live our life in learning and for our students don't let those negative words manipulate us because we can manipulate it better.

Profile of a Modern Teacher

In my view in preparing to be a modern teacher is we need to create a light ambiance of learning as a result of it is they can allow our students to teach each other, and everyone can benefit from it, and they can step out of their comfort zone and push through limits. Along with this we should be open and be reachable by their students and we should always make them secure also, we should never hesitate to ask for help from our colleagues. To build that trust with your colleagues and students and because of it, the environment we built will result in a vibrant learning environment. And we need to touch our student's minds and enlighten them in every aspect of learning even they isolate themselves in the darkness of ignorance. To accept their mistakes and, we as a co-learner of them can see our mistakes and together of our student can make it right and never commit it in our entire life. In summary, if we can help them and make them better than us, and they will question everything we did, and we can reflect on our actions to help them and question our self too.

Reflection

Today’s lesson was all about the Non-Digital and Digital Skills and Tools in delivering Technology Enhanced lessons. So, in this lesson, the method of the presenters in discussing the topic was quite good because some group members elaborate it simply. But the way another person in their group was not good because the simple topic that can be discussed in seconds was too long to discuss and it confuses us and lost interest in the topic. Aside from it is the experience I had during it was quite good because of the delivery of the lesson but the presentation of it was tolerable because the other presenter can’t elaborate the simple term. To summarize everything with their presentation I can anticipate the possibility of everything might happen because of the adequate communication of each member and prepare for it. Other than that, is we can develop some things that are needed to be developed especially the method of presenting the topic.
